We only had a brief stay as getting ferry to Ireland early morning so didn’t have chance for breakfast. Room lovely clean bright and spacious with comfy bed, better than done five star hotels I’d stayed in that week.

Lovely location on the Marina and not too far from the town. The apartment was very nice (even nicer than it looks on the photos). Hosts were really helpful too.

The Hideaway is in a beautiful spot. Stunning sea views. We loved the fact that we were in the midst of the ancient druidic heritage of Anglesey and at our time of visiting it was quiet. Breakfast was very handy at the local RSPB. Sue ensured that there was regular top ups of essentials, even though we only stayed for five nights. A very special place.

I've only ever travelled through Holyhead en route from Ireland to the UK and back, but I walked around the town a bit with my dog on this trip, and the area around the B&B was nice enough. Beyond that I really can't say as yet, but I'll definitely return.

Not much in the Pier area, very residential.
Not much in the Pier area, very residential. Expect to walk a lot, crossed bridge to City Center for the amenities we were looking for, food & historic sites. 2 days were enough to stay before heading to Dublin on the Ferry.

booked in holyhead purely to meet friends off a cruise ship.
booked in holyhead purely to meet friends off a cruise ship. holyhead itself has little to nothing to offer tourists but as a base to visit other parts of Anglesey its fine. holyhead seems like its been abandoned by the council and needs money spending on it, all the locals we met were lovely and they deserve more.

We visit Holyhead regularly as we travel a lot by ferry. So are usually only there overnight. Busy little town, but normally head for a B & B so do not know town very well, although it looks fine.

No busses or taxies. ( found one by chance when they were collecting a customer late afternoon)No information regarding about restaurants close for meals between 2pm - 4pm. Had to walk to hotel. As not informed about kitchens close at 2pm, our first meal was at 4.30 which we had to walk to . Amazing fish and chips at the local chippy. No interesting sights . Would have been better to have passed through directly to Cardiff.
The breakfast was amazing and although they don’t do any other meals throughout the day they were happy for us to purchase fish and chips nearby and eat it in their breakfast room. They offered plates, cutlery, etc., and they couldn't have been more helpful. There was also several other takeaway nearby, Chinese, Indian, etc. it was the nearest hotel to the ferry port being just across the road. Our room was on the ground floor and was amazingly very quiet. The pub was very busy but we didn’t hear any noise in our room.
Great location for train and Ferry terminal, all within walking distance to the room. The Main Street was a few minutes walk away where an assortment of eateries and pubs could be found. The room was clean and cozy with very comfy beds. Great pub right next door for a drink or suggestions on where to eat! Our host was very friendly and helped us find our way to the train the next day. We will stay here again if we come back to Holyhead.
The room was easy to find, the staff was very helpful in assisting me arriving very late (past midnight) to enter my room. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom, with all the amenities you would expect in a hotel. There was plenty of choice for breakfast provided in the room, which allowed me to leave quickly to get to Folkstone to take the eurotunnel.
Absolutely loved my stay here! The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. There were also so many thoughtful touches everywhere. The owner, TJ, was fantastic. It's obvious she loves what she does and loves showing visitors the beauty of Holyhead and Wales.
I'd love to come back one day!
A nice overnight stay before the ferry. The hotel's beach theme is very cute and consistent - love the porcelain lighthouse lamp in our room! We had a fantastic fish and chips on arrival, and the breakfast was great the next morning. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I am from America and am hiking the Wales Coastal Path. I have stayed at several places during my visit and The Haven is by far the best. The room was clean and fresh. The owners paid attention to details that make the room comfortable. I highly recommend it.
The owner was extremely accommodating and gave us a ride from the ferry (and very late at night) and took us to the train station in the morning. She was great. The room was also nicer than most bed and breakfasts we had been staying at.
Very relaxing and peaceful. Very friendly but unobtrusive hostess. Breakfast was ready in bedroom. Fruit, yoghurt, bakery etc. Bed extremely comfy.
Shower room lovely. Tastefully done up.
Very handy for Holyhead ferry port.
Perfect stay for anyone getting the ferry to/from Holyhead. It was cheaper than the hotels and has free, secluded parking. Food and drinks are provided for breakfast which was very useful. Checking in and out was very easy
TJ gave a warm welcome and explained everything really well, the room was super clean and had all the essentials you would need. The B and B was really homey. Ideal for getting the ferry from Holyhead port.
Good choice of breakfast and good amount. David and Debbie always willing to chat and recommend places to visit. Good location to explore Anglesey and close to main road for trips further afield.
Close walk to city center and transportation systems. Host did a good job helping to find the place, it could have been confusing without her help. Bathroom was good size, shower was good.
We stayed with pets and had a room with outside access which was very convenient. We stayed the night before we caught the ferry and the hotel is only a few minutes from the terminal
Easy to book, very communicative and helpful with instructions. The room was small but clean and worked great for us for our night before taking the Holyhead ferry to Dublin
Cute little hotel, great beds, clean bathrooms, all we hoped for. But most of all, the staff was very helpful when we had trouble reaching Holyhead by public transport.
