Everything about the guest house and our hosts. Mathew was brilliant a fountain of knowledge giving advice on best places for evening meals or a drink. Rosie and Mathew were very welcoming helping with our luggage and the room was perfect with a lovely seaview. The choices for breakfast is outstanding including home made yoghurt, marmalades, and even home made peanut butter. Nothing was a bother I will definitely return can't recommend enough

Wall park touring Centry road camping, hotel in Brixham

Set just 1.1 km from Breakwater Beach, Wall park touring Centry road camping provides accommodation in Brixham with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as bicycle parking.

The house was located on the main road which is made of stones. You can't open the window because there is incredible noise from 5 a.m., especially cars driving on these stone or people passing by. A huge mess

We liked the town very much, although it was pirate festival so not seeing it under normal circumstances. We ate at Beamer's and The Berry Head Hotel, both excellent. There is a vibrant working harbour and the whole place is very walkable. The pirates were fun too!

Brixham is a working fishing harbour, so if you like eating...

Brixham is a working fishing harbour, so if you like eating fresh fish it is a no brainer. The centre is based around the harbour and there are some short flat walks round the harbour and along the breakwater. There are several good restaurants (not all fish), two or three nice pubs, a wine bar and a cocktail bar. There are some wonderful views if you walk up to Berry Head and the old fort. You can of course walk the coastal path north to Paignton and Torquay or south to Kingswear and Dartmouth. Or instead take the ferry or book a longer boat trip. There is also the steam train from Torquay to Dartmouth which you can intercept at Churston.

Great choice for places to eat.

Great choice for places to eat. The walks around the area are so scenic but hard going if you are not used to hiking. Lots of places where you can just sit in peace and quiet. Worth a walk up to Berry Head and the forts. Some nice nature walks as well. Also walk up to the Battery and the coves just further along the coast path.

Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk.

Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk. It's a lovely town that does not have the winter shut down feel of some other coastal towns in the UK, probably because it is also a working port town so never really completely switches off. We ate in La Petit Maison and Rock Fish; both fabulous restaurants that I can highly recommend and drinks/cocktails in Liberties on the Harbour front; also very much recommended.

We were returning to visit relatives.

We were returning to visit relatives. Brixham is an historical fishing village with a great deal of character. There are many lovely places to visit in the area which are not too far from Brixham. The coast is lovely with lots of places to walk and enjoy the seascape. During the summer you can take a trip on the Western Lady crossing over to Torquay. There are a selection of local shops were you can stock up on provisions without the need to go too far. You can also enjoy a trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, joining at the station stop on Dartmouth Road. Kingswear is a short drive where there are beautiful views of the River Dart and neighbouring Dartmouth accessible by car or foot passenger ferries.

Lovely friendly welcome from Linda and Joe who made us feel like friends straight away, nothing was too much trouble at all. Our room was immaculate, lovely and modern with everything you could ask for, bath robes were even supplied for the mini spa facilities, they really have thought of everything. The breakfast choices available are the best we’ve ever seen and we weren’t disappointed when it arrived, delicious. An amazing Guest House, would thoroughly recommend Brookside for your next trip to Brixham. We will definitely be back.

Location , location, location. We had a top floor room with panoramic view of Brixham harbour. Only 2 minute stroll (250 m) down road on to quayside with loads of cafés, restaurants, post office, shops ,fish and chips and Ice Cream retailers!! AND there's free parking....but admittedly it is 300m from the hotel up a reasonable incline...but that's a price worth paying in my opinion. Entertainment on the quayside in evenings ( Brass band concert weekly) was free and a short brief stroll away.

Breakfast was made to order, you had to order on a form the night before, before 10pm. 15 minute walk to the left into Brixham. 10 minute walk the other way brings you to The Berry Head Hotel. Breakfast was excellent, couldn't thought it. Rooms all ensuite, we were in room 4, we had a side sea view. Gary and Sara very friendly and welcoming, they live next door, but you have your own keys to come a go as you like. Views from rooms are wonderful.

Lovely clean caravan, nicely decorated and everything you need! Great location and good on site facilities whilst still being a nice quiet break. Passes to use the pool etc came in at under £10 each for the week. Sharkham point carpark is the best place to park if you don't want to walk down to St Mary's bay and it's free. Would love to stay again!

Our host was very nice and helpful. The room is very clean, well equipped and decorated with taste. Breakfast was home made and very good. The parking lot really is a plus as it is very complicated to park in Brixham. The hotel is very conveniently located 5 minutes away from the city centre by foot.
